Having started in SFx briefly, Ken developed an interest in Costume after helping on a television commercial. He then went onto assisting a period short film ‘News For The Church’ (2004), directed by Andrew McCarthy and Costume design by Maeve Paterson. A feature film ‘Turning Green’ (2005), directed by Michael Aimette & John G. Hofmann, Costume design by Maeve Paterson and starring Timothy Hutton, Alessandro Nivola and Colm Meaney, followed.

Ken has had the pleasure of working with many great directors most notably, twice with John Boorman. Having served his time assisting, two years later Ken was Supervising and not long after designed his first short film ‘Dust’ (2009). With Costume experience working on TV, film and commercials, Ken got the chance to work on a major period drama as Supervisor for the BBC called ‘Wolf Hall’ (2015), which earned him and the Costume team an Emmy nomination. Ken has Supervised many great productions in the UK, Ireland and the rest of the world, which include: ‘Whisky Galore’ (2016), directed by Gillies MacKinnon and Costume design by Gill Horn in northern Scotland, ‘Brotherhood’ (2016), directed by Noel Clarke and Costume design by Andy Blake in London, ‘Queen & Country’ (2014), directed by John Boorman and Costume design by Maeve Paterson in Romania, ‘The Escapist’ (2008), directed by Rupert Wyatt and Costume design by Maeve Paterson in Ireland.
