Penelope Mamalou

Penelope Mamalou was born in Thessaloniki and grew up in Corfu. She is a graduate of the Fashion Design & Clothing Technology Department of the Technological University of Thessaloniki. She is based in Corfu and has worked as a freelance Costume and Props Designer and constructor in numerous theatre plays since 2006. She’s an external associate of the Municipal and Regional Theater of Corfu since 2008 as a Costume Designer, Wardrobe Supervisor, as well as Production Assistant.  All these years she’s worked with most of the Corfiot Independent Theatrical groups in theater plays, Philharmonic Societies and the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University in the production of many musicals and operas.

She’s worked for two short films as a Costume Designer, “Allimonò”(2019) director Iakovos Panagopoulos and “Lotus” (2019) director Marietta Pappa, and also in two feature films, “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3” (2022) director Nia Vardalos as Location Production Assistant, “The Return” (2023) director Uberto Pasolini as Wardrobe assistant GR.
