Thomie Karydi was born in Corfu and lives in Corfu, Greece. She has studied acting at the Department of Dramatic Art of the Vocational Training Institute in Greece. She has also studied translation at the Ionian University and has been a visiting student at the University of Surrey, UK and University of Valladolid, Spain.

She has been acting since 2007, working with various theatre groups, and since 2021 she has been collaborating with the Municipal and Regional Theatre of Corfu. One of her latest cinematographic experiences was her participation as an actress in the documentary drama “Ioannis Kapodistrias, His Life and Work” (2019), directed by Yorgos Gkikapeppas.
